Why is this book so good and so emotional?

Not at all what I thought it will be, but I love it so much!

The emotions in this hit way too close to home. My heart is silently crying.

Was it a cover buy? Well, yes. Yes, it was. I'm not ashamed of it. I mean, just look at it!
Did I know what it's about other than it's gay? No, no I didn't.
Do I love it so far? Yes. Yes, I do.

Super well written and super *not* my trope... this should be interesting

*sigh* But he had felt a lot of things tonight that he’d always associated with happy relationships. He’d felt safe and cared for, certain he could trust Angel.
He’d felt important to him, in the center of his attention.
