My partner and I have many many similarities, but we also have our differences. I feel that God has blessed us in the perfect ways to compliment one another through life while also blessing us with a level of oneness that I didn’t think was possible. I pray we continue to nourish that more than anything.

When it comes to empathy, expressing our feelings, and respect, reading this book has shone a light on how special the relationship we share truly is. I am certain that sexual challenges will come for us, but the ultimate gift is that I have peace that we will work together as a team to mutually satisfy our desires in a God honoring way, and that is the most encouraging thing I could ever have hoped for in my life.

This also highlights the value of cherishing and honoring your spouse through action. Recognize their value (cherish) and honor them through action and behavior (nourish). The value of spiritual intimacy is not lost on me. It feels essential and important to me, and I love how we’ve been able to foster it in our relationship already. Spiritual intimacy should be as connecting as sexual intimacy if not more, just as sexual intimacy should be as connecting as spiritual intimacy.
