"College boy" and "offended liberal" just made this book a dumb political manifesto by the author.
It's not enough just to tell an entertaining story, he wants to lecture his audience too.
Sad because it was an alright story without the weirdness of the author's voice added with the subtlety of a hammer from the pages.

It's kind of funny. This author is obviously a prepper. Which is fine whatever. But the amount of characters in this book that are fawning over the main character.... saying things like "oh he was so right, hes so smart. I wish I was like Randy..." etc.

I remember speculative prepper fantasy without political posturing, which is nice.

I did not expect to dislike this book. I really enjoyed “Burning Down Boise,” but this one goes on the did-not-finish shelf.

Nope, I’m not going to bother going any farther. The writing is substandard, and the main character is not even remotely likable.
