Chapter three gave some incredible insights to the structure of the authors message. Particularly I was blown away with the idea, and scriptural evidence, of God singing over creation. It makes so much sense when contemplating the way in which God loves us and the role music has throughout scripture. I also love that McHugh made sure to mention the holistic approach to listening as doing. “Listen with your feet”.

For a book about listening one would think that noise would be the most striking part of this book. However, the first thing to really stick out to me is chapter twos section on the silence of God and the misconceptions surrounding prayer. I also love how often this author refers to the proof of his own experience in this new “listening life”

This book just keeps getting better and better. Crazy to read a Rob Bell quote when the citation was of a sermon he did at my church growing up.
