Summary: This book follows a girl whose name is Tella. She enters a competition called the brimstone bleed, which is a race through a jungle, desert and the sea. She entered the contest hoping to win the cure ( a cure for any disease) to cure her brothers "incurable disease". Every contestent gets a Pandora,which is a special animal who has special abilities. Tella ends up getting a fox with a power I wont spoil yet.
