The further I progress, the more and less I understand, but I sense that I'm annotating for the sake of checkpointing rather than analyzing, interpreting, or any somesuch mode of organizing my thoughts on the material. It's too captivating, and I'm too much of a novice to keep stalling through Deleuze and Guattari's examinations and arguments. Following updates are retained for pithy asides.

Flows, the production of flows, stem from "desiring-machines" (the mouth which desires the milk which flows from the breast) irrespective of "the whole". Hence, a counter to the encompassing psychoanalytic Oedipus. Partial objects, not a totality.
