Ugh, Cassie crying cause she overheard gossip in the bathroom about Carter going to lunch with her boss Susan is extremely annoying. One, it's gossip, two you guys just slept together for crying out loud, and three, have some dignity. She sounds way too soft for Carter if she's going to cry at the drop of a hat.

Trying to get through it. The game they play for the bachelors is kind of cringy. Makes the girls seem like desperate females while obessessing over guys who have attitudes like they genuinely don't have respect for women to actually participate while then also blaming them for the game to begin with. I don't like that type of narrative.

Just by title & finishing the 2nd book in this series, I know this one is going to kill me to get through. Especially since I know the main dude is an actually cop.
