81% into the story and trouble is still brewing, oh brother, can it come to pass already!

This story is dragging, gosh!

A tiff, how nice... Their interactions were aggravatingly annoying and I'm glad for some real emotions

I do dislike characters that seem positioned as well-intentioned due to an attachment they have developed towards the object of their well-intentioned deeds or wishes... But I guess that speaks to a selfish streak in them, making them not kind at all but self-serving

I hope the story will move from these two who are fawning all over each other chastely, and cover some interesting and perhaps sinister or unpleasant events like the one where I believe this nephew spirited Mary away to end her life, thus tying a loose end... A dash of evil makes things less monotonous, hehehehe

A little intrigued but kinda bored also coz it seems yet another romantic pursuit. I hope it will be chaste and devoid of offensive language

What a sweet, refreshing, "proper" historical fiction book! Really enjoying it so far!

August 22nd, 2016* It was clean, had a little mystery (which I figured out about half way through), a nice attempt at humor 3 or 4 times, and likeable, though sometimes bland characters. It was worth reading once (for free), though a little cold or sterile at times. Anne seemed jaded by responsibility, but Lord Westerfield and Jeremy (and his puppy) lightened it up a little.

Needs another read-through for obvious typos (either spelling, or using the wrong name in a paragraph. Mariah does not have a brother named Jeremy, nor does she have to leave to go home when Anne is the one visiting her. Very disconcerting).

I think I've already guessed who the villain is...
