This book includes info on what an agent would do for you, how to find publishers that suit your work, how to submit to those publishers. The submission process chapter is good if you have no idea what to expect to do, and gives a nice example for a cover letter for submission.

This is a required reading for my uni course.
So far it's been quite clear and gives a helpful understanding on what you should think about before writing a novel.
Some info that i liked - think about how the age of your audience will relate to the age of your character. I'd already considered it before, but the way it was explained in the book has made me more aware of how i could approach it with my characters.
