Status Updates From The House at the Edge of Night

Started well and the first half I would rate close to four stars. The characters at the beginning felt like they had some kind of depth and each a story of their own. As the book moved closer to modern times, characters felt more two dimensional, being used to progress/finish the story, rather than adding any nuance.

For a book spanning 5 generations, it was too short.
