I'm really enjoying this story so far. Jamie and Olivia are likable characters, and the mysterious business (spoiler free) is curious enough that I wanna know more.

Three pages in, and I already see how this author likes a run-on sentence. Period are okay. There ate at least 2 commas in every sentence on the first 3 pages.

I know this is nitpicking but shit like this is what trips me up when reading. I've forgotten how the sentence started before we even get to the end.
