On page 100 she discusses how the teenage brain grows and the pruning process it goes through. In this she discusses how dopamine tracks are rewired which is why food doesn’t taste as sweet and stuff doesn’t seem as good as when your a little kid and also why teens get bored often because as the pruning is happening it matures your reward pathways making pleasure harder to attain and more inticing!

I do like learning more about addiction and I understand the concepts she is trying to convey, but she seems to be victimizing herself and other people with addictions.

What does everyone think about the connections between Autism and ADHD and addiction? Like the loss of control?

How have we not been taught this before in schools, like why is the world so ignorant?
