Am on to the next volume ib the series. So far, I am cautiously optimistic as to my ultimate review . . . Stay tuned . . .

The bones of a good story are here, the problem is in the execution. The writing is clumsy and clunky, with so much repetitive description it is distracting from the story itself. The main character faces much adversity, but perfectly overcomes everything thrown at him, too perfectly in my opinion. I think this is one of my biggest problems with the book, too much just magically falls into place with no effort.
