I’m nearing halfway. Not that I dislike it, but this book feels like running a marathon. Don’t get me wrong, I like long books, but based on the portion of the story so far there’s no reason this book needed to be nearly 500 pgs. With some significant editing I think this book could’ve been 350 -400pages.

I’m actually pissed at the ppl in her life, family and friends, who are so negative, discouraging and unsympathetic to her plan to move out of the town where her boyfriend literally shot her, once he is released from prison. Call me crazy, but not wanting to live in the same city as the man who shot you doesn’t seem unreasonable.

😲 some how more and more villians are emerging. It explains why this book is so long. I’m 100 pages in, Still over 375 pages 😮‍💨 WHY.

So far nothing has happened. Still a lot of background on both MMC, setting up. The pacing leaves something to be desired.

Book 2 on my journey to read 6 books I read a few yrs ago, and this one is much much better- though it is twice as long. When I see contemporary romance that’s page short of being 500 I worry. But I guess we’ll see how well the story fills out the length of this book.

Really not sure on this one. Reads easily, but not liking the characters. Spineless h, lackluster H (he's handsome, and that's about all he's got going for him), and no less than 3 Mean Girl characters. We'll see if I can push through.
