Status Updates From The Territory

- Well at least one disaster has been undone.
- I don’t know where Jack is coming from with his attitude. Yes, it must hurt to confess your love to your best friend and be rejected, but just because she likes another guy more doesn’t give you a right to insult her or guilt trip her. And Noa infuriates me by acknowledging she doesn’t like him like that but still feeling guilty for it. There are bigger problems!

- This is one of the most horrific endings I’ve ever read in a book. I don’t know at what point I started to care about the characters so much but I’m horrified by the last two scenes. Truly gut-wrenching and unforgettable.
- It’s so strange to me that life could be so easily destroyed and they can strip a person of everything they are and then Noa just goes back to talking about the test.

- Why did I think this book was old? It was published in 2015 so not even 10 years yet! And it says the Dark Days happened in 2029 so not far off now…
- I can’t believe after what they saw, her mum didn’t explain why they snatched Amanda.
- I’ll scream from frustration if the book ends with the test result. I want to see what she does after that.
- Awkward between Jack and Raf. Unexpected love triangle!

- Like 5 pages in and we have the family killing their dog😭 This book is hardcore!
- I absolutely love the concept and the worldbuilding and it really creeps me out how this is dystopian but also not that far off what our future could look like.
- The nodes and downloading info straight into your brain really reminds me of Doctor Who s1e7 where Adam gets an info port in the future for nefarious reasons.
