I am currently reading this book. On page 402. The first part of book is written with amazing literature unpacking insights into past events.
Now, I am on later half part of the book. At this stage, reading, trying to grasp the information, facts, narratives shaped.
Seems a lot of information in numbers & years just compiled to try & shape it into reading form (perhaps, could be about my understanding of text).

As early as 1949, the elected representative of minorities to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan protested against the Islamic dimension of the Objectives Resolution.
They then were obliged to accept a system of separate electorates that they opposed.
It was the Muslim majority in West Pakistan who had asked for this system in an endeavour to protect them from the Hindus (seen as India’s fifth column).
LOL !

“Taylor defines secularism :-
1) everyone can freely exercise his religion; (2) every religion—whether of the majority or the minority—is considered on equal footing in the public sphere; and (3) “all spiritual families must be heard.”
So silly !
Legislation (laws) must not be based on religion. Thats the core. Go figure !

“I do not know what the ultimate shape of this constitution is going to be, but I am sure that it will be of the democratic type, embodying the essential principles of Islam. Today they are as applicable in actual life as they were 1,300 years ago. Islam and its idealism have taught us democracy;”
Jinnah in 1948. To the lying Leftists who quote only his other speech on “secularism”.
