Finally got round to reading the birds…. Absolutely loved. Du Maurier, you are my favourite. Also forever obsessed with Hitchcock’s adaptations of her stories

The Birds was good. I feel as though Ballard read this quite fondly. I hadn't though of du Maurier as a science fiction author. I don't think I thought of her at all, I was aware of the name but paid it little attention and that was likely an error.
