Absolutely hate the writing style! This book may have been first published in 2015 but it could have been written in 1915. The author was clearly very well educated at the best (UK) public schools and universities, but his style assumes that his readers shared this, resulting in a rather patronising tone. For example: p109: "...semi-vir, embryo infelix and detestable monstrum - a translation seems unnecessary..."
