the premise of the book doesnt make sense when we find out that a soldier is traumatised because he thinks killing is bad - like sure i get ptsd is a thing, i just dont understand what he thought would happen when he enlisted and got deployed
it's not even a late realisation that makes him believe the whole system is rotten, it's his core belief being shattered before his eyes - did u walk into your job w closed eyes
