"Are you sure this is what you want?... Because if you want or need to wait... until things aren't quite so complicated... I'm on board with that."
It helped. Knowing he would be as patient as she needed.
Even more sex. This book is doing very well on the 'sex' front. Props to Gillen Thacker as usual.

Ohhhhhhhhh, no wonder the sex in this book is actually good. It's by Cathy Gillen Thacker. I should have known.

I admire being so close to your parents, but it's actually none of their fucking business whom she fucks, whom she falls in love with, and 'having a talk' with her lover is complete inappropriate. She and Gavin are in their thirties! I mean, come on. Tell them to mind their own fucking business and that their opinions and interference are not welcome.

More sex. There is a surprising number of sex scenes in this book.

I agree with her. If his adult brother wants to drop out of college, it's his own decision.

I think she needs to tell her parents, "It's none of your fucking business." Politely, of course.

Of course, she HAS to move in with him. Of course. There's no other option.

"Mommy!" All three heads popped out. "Aunt Violet's got a prince sleeping in her bed!"
It wasn't the first time he had been called a prince, Gavin thought as he struggled to blink himself awake. However, it was the first time he had been designated one in quite that way.

"I've always been hardwired to think that being in love was essential to having satisfying sex." She pivoted and looked him right in the eye. "It was a revelation to realize that's not necessarily the case." She grinned naughtily. "At least, not for the two of us."
I don't think this is the path he should be pursuing, but romance novels love this trope. So.

This man is surprisingly good in bed. I wasn't expecting that. Extra points to him, and extra points for condom use.

Did he just ask her to have an affair with him? What a jerk. I don't think this is a good way to play this. I don't appreciate it.

Gavin gestured gallantly. "My truck is available. As am I."
Was he hitting on her? Or just being helpful? Hard to tell. "You'd really want to do that on your day off?"

I've never understood in these romance novels that feature babies when the heroine expresses envy for the baby. E.g. when the hero is holding the baby in his arms and the heroine wishes it were her. You're not a baby. ??? What the fuck. I just find the comparison of a man cuddling a baby and a man holding a grown woman he loves and intends to fuck very distasteful.

For as much as he wanted to make love to her right here and now, the more pragmatic part of him knew that doing so would have been a colossal mistake.
Violet was the most idealistic woman he had ever met.
She believed in love with all her heart and soul.
Not hookups.
Not tawdry one-night stands.
When she made love with a man again - and he was determined now, after kissing her, that it WOULD be with him - she

I'm no expert in adoption law, okay, but can you just GIVE your baby to random strangers? This woman thinks she's going to die in childbirth, so she makes a video saying she wants two doctors (who are not married to each other) whom she barely knows to adopt her daughter. What the fuck. Can you do this? Wouldn't you have to ask the people first? Not spring it on them after you are dead and the baby is two weeks old?

"Do what?" she parried back, trying not to be swayed by the determination radiating from his tall, masculine frame or the sensual curve of his lips.
...
Gavin strode closer, all indomitable male.
OH, PLEASE. Give me a break. I hope the whole book isn't like this.
