He thought by saying he loved him, Syn was PUSHING Fury into a relationship he wasn't ready for, AFTER Syn already said they were boyfriends. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! I'm so ready for this book to be over with. The next one I really liked, although I remember nothing about it. Here's hoping I still do, because this one sucks.

Syn ran because he thought Fury would be MAD that he said he loved him. HOW FUCKING ILLOGICAL can you write a character to be? Even Fury asked, "Why would that make me mad?" I mean, after everything they've done together and the feelings they've shown to each other, he really thought Fury would be mad just because he just got out of a relationship? That makes no sense.

GOD THESE TWO ARE SO STUPID!!!! I hate this form of writing. It's not endearing to read men acting cowardly about their feelings. It's ANNOYING AS HELL.

The drama around Syn saying he loved Fury is ridiculous. My eyes are rolling so hard, they hurt. FFS, to have Syn run away out of fear because he let it slip he loved Fury is STUPID writing. Then to say he fucked up by saying is even STUPIDER writing. And Fury standing there shocked and speechless that Syn felt that way is even DUMBER since Syn already claimed him as his boyfriend. WTF?

And the, "it's too soon to fall in love" trope is OVERUSED. It doesn't take a lot of time for people to fall in love. It's actually very easy to do when you're attracted to the other person and you're having copious amounts of sex, which these two are. What's hard, is staying in love. Because the high you get from being in love goes away after a few months. I'm so tired of reading authors writing this trope.

In reality, when you become boyfriends (a couple), it means you're in love and committed. Syn called Fury his bf in front of his peers which made Fury very happy. 5 or 6 chapters later, they're both fretting over being in love with each other, but too afraid of saying it. And why? Because three weeks is too soon to fall in love. *head desk* The author put the horse in front of the cart here.

FURY'S soon to be ex-husband and brother-in-law have beaten him repeatedly in the past. Now they're both in town threatening him, but he doesn't need a protection detail to keep him safe. The eye rolling I did....because it's obvious the author, by having the character be COMPLETELY ILLOGICAL, is setting fury up to be kidnapped. And their dialogue is eye rolling. And Day's antics are so not funny.

Cops fighting rich business men in the alley behind a pub is ridiculous writing. WTH, A.E. Via! This would never happen in real life. Day, God and Syn would be brought up on charges and arrested. Why write such ridiculousness for the sake of drama? I hate it when authors do this. I can only suspend reality so much.

The story, set in Atlanta, Georgia, just referenced a date on the Missouri River?!!!

It would have to be the Chattahoochee. The Missouri ends in the Mississippi far to the North West.

I can't believe nobody else has caught this.
