This is so good! Lawless is a great writer and brutally transparent, Her personal story is fascinating if sometimes incredibly painful. And the setting is nostalgic too. My misspent youth on the LES (well I lived in Brooklyn, but most of my friends were in Alphabet City and that was where I spent the most time) with all its drama is still the source of treasured memories for me.
