Im just baffled he is writing a pastoral book. He is being a pastor via book. And, once again, this book has zero purpose. So vague. Just adding more confusion. No real advice (not that he is in any position to give any anyways).
Steve did so much for me when he was in ministry. But he has to stop.

50+ pages of saying he should have seen the warning signs… but then neglecting to say what any or them were or how they showed up in the first place.

Felt weird buying this book. But I wanted to see what he was going to say.
First, he seems to give pastoral advice. He is no longer able to do that.
Secondly, he is so painfully vague that I often find myself asking, “Whats the point of writing this book if he’s going to be so dodgy about his sin?” He even explicitly says, “the details of my story are not important”
If you’re writing a book, they are.

“I am not asking you to pity me. I only want to use my sinful example to help you … I would much rather be teaching you a passage of Scripture. But I will share with you the painful lessons I have gained so that you may avoid the abyss into which I fell.” - Steve Lawson
What an amazing book already …
