Just in time for Halloween. It's not a horror story of blood and violence but rather a creepy, atmospheric, suspenseful and extremely hot tale of emotions, manipulation?, isolation and nightmares. The dialog (urban, raw, sharp and at the same time smart) and the cover are gorgeous. The connection and initial attraction stay a bit tricky though. I liked it a lot, but everything is locked in the final denouement.

What happened to Quince, Laurel and Hunter? A bit open ended.

I've got so many questions already and that watch is really bugging me too.

So the ending is getting kinda cheesy and predictable now concerning the horror portion. Shouldn't they have heightened senses? It baffles me that Jeremy can sneak around without Laurel or Hunter hearing. And how was Jeremy able to knock Laurel down if she just tossed him aside like a rag doll??????

Totally called it about Luke and Watts!! His guilt and pain is so strong....it doesn't excuse the asshole behavior, but I do truly empathize with him. So much trauma and survival coping. Good to see them finally have this conversation and for Jeremy to see Hunter for who he truly is.

Jeremy is so oblivious. If someone tells you a house is creepy, you don't go ask the owner if it's true and the basis of the rumors!!! It's like you're just begging to be chopped up and dumped in a swamp🙄.

Kennedy's multiple personalties are giving me a headache. I wonder how Jeremy can stand him. I know I couldn't have.

At least Hunter is CONSISTENT in his creepy otherworldliness.

Also, Watts is the worst ,most horrible character I've read about this year. How they can keep from punching him whenever he opens his piehole is anyone's guess. UGH.

Is ANYONE functional in this story? Lol!
