Status Updates From Y Negative

Three chapters in, and this book is making me deeply uncomfortable. I'm going to have to put it on hold for a while.

I think I missed something, now that I've been reading reviews. I thought, because there was an emphasis on women being obsolete, that Y neg meant a hermaphrodite. It made sense to me, somehow, with the X and Y chromosomes having pos or neg attenuations. Right now I'm confused af, and trying to decide whether or not I should start over. Sigh.

This is awesome, I'm loving it. It's a great, dark dystopian

Marin looked back up at me, his gaze intense. “Love is love. It doesn’t matter what’s below his belt.”

As I breathed with Jess, moved with him, I realized I had never felt so close to a person. For a few beautiful moments I didn’t remember that there was something wrong with me. I felt not just like his equal, but like a human being.

*sniff*

We lay there in silence for a long time, and I savored every nuance of his contact. The warmth of his body, the hair on his legs and chest . . . Could I feel his heart beating? “Is this still okay?” His voice was sharp so close to my ears. “Yes . . . Why are you—” Doubt collapsed my throat. “I’m trying to understand why everyone says this is wrong.”

The world in this book is very interesting!

I couldn't do this to myself again. I couldn't give in to temptation just to hate the consequences. But at the same time, I couldn't keep on under the pressure, with a fruitless job and empty gut. A vacant bed and heart.

Man, this book is awesome and NOTHING has happened yet. I only want to keep reading and see what will happen to the MC, and the story.

I dig it :D .
