My husband pushed me to start this and it took me about 2 months to finish it. It is very descriptive, details are great. Just not my genre.
I guess I was not really a fan of the speed of development.
I don’t really think I enjoyed it, it was interesting, but I need more spice. The book was fine well written easy read.

Ok so the Lady says says that corsettes were worn for modesty, so i had to do a search on why that was. Of course, I'm thinking from a 21st century perspective where corsettes are worn as clothing outside sometimes, but back then, they were only undergarments.

At any rate, i spent the whole hour looking at the history of stays and corsettes rather than getting more actual reading done. 😅🤦‍♀️
