I'm enjoying this book and this author's writing, don't get me wrong. But it is so irritating what they miss the obvious stuff and as a cop Shane should know better! Like come on, clearly inside job and why did they not guard the step father in the hospital?? And why no "guilt" over that? It's what we used to call TSL behavior (too stupid to live)
