Status Updates From Sindbad the Sailor and Othe...

Dang, this writer (arab?) Did not hold back on disrespecting jews. Strong words!

I really liked this version of the story of sinbad. I raff them in Spanish as a child and was always enchanted with the stories of elusive Baghdad. I really enjoyed this read. On to the next story, Aladdin.

Finished skimming through the setting of the story "The Three Calenders"... (confused about the word usage (Calenders) here; no, I did not misspell it, it was spell like that in the book). Anyways, was surprised there's actually someone called "Ja'far" in The Arabian Nights... Though not in the Aladdin story xP.

Finished Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp.

Finished the remaining 3 voyages of Sindbad the Sailor.

Finished the first 4 voyages of Sindbad the Sailor.

"And are there such radiant maidens even in the Fragrant Paradise?" ... "Prate not to me of sorcery!" ... "Bedr-el-Budur, aflame with love for Aladdin, appeared on the threshold like a pure white bird about to fly into space" ...
I must admit I'm getting a little weary of all the "beauteous damsels" and overblown Victorian pseudo-archaism.
