I feel like this book is a cross between several genres (True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, Outlander, and pirate genre as a whole) and definitely crosses into uncharted territories most authors don't go into. I can't even imagine how much research the author must have done!! I'm nearly done, but I love it!
