Yup, I am about to DNF this. H screwing Ow- and the h hears them.

“It was far past the time for my departure. I traveled down the hall, despite Janet’s pleas that I stay. Standing just outside the den, I listened to the commotion that echoed beyond the closed door. The noises were unmistakable; Eric was screwing Tamala.”

This h is such fucking bitch! If this wasn’t so highly rated and raved at, I would DNF it about now. I need the author to tell me asap why her bitchiness is justified.. 🤬🤬🤬

This book has the worst conversations I’ve ever seen. There is no pattern of speech or a coherent topic line. Some characters even speak and they go completely unacknowledged. I imagine the author had a film rapport in their head, but that does not work in a book.

“He quickly withdrew, ejecting his excitement all over my hip and the side of my behind.”
