This lovers to enemies to reunited story is going well but I've got a horrid feeling I'm about to get a tsunami of backstory, when explanation could be quite simple. Someone else was gonna kill you, so I took the job, shot you bad enough to convince people you were dead and then got myself 'blown up' as well, ao we could be together.
I could be wrong but I have a feeling that might be the summary.
