I love the Elizabeth Barrett Browning sonnet Past and Future in Eastertide Week 3. I also love Creed by Abigail Carroll, a contemporary poet I'm not familiar with.

I love two poems for Easter Sunday. The first is called Rosing from the Dead by Paul J Willis. I love that it made me think of the Advent hymn Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming. The second poem is After the Funeral They Bring Food by Jeanne Murray Walker.

My favorite poem in week 4 is Calcutta to Cannon Beach by Nathaniel Lee Hansen. Cannon Beach is a town on the Oregon Coast that I happen to know very well. I love that I can picture exactly where I would stand on that beach to cup ocean water in my hands like the poet does.

Fascinating. I’ve also been reading slowly through T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets for Lent and just came across the line: “between midnight and dawn” in The Dry Salvages. Connection? Undoubtedly.
