Status Updates From Maps That Changed the World

Definitely a coffee table book in some regards (great visuals in the form of beautiful maps, and text full of tidbits of interesting, non-academic, bite-sized information), but don't think this book is only to look at. The maps are chosen for their importance to world cartography and understanding, not just for their beauty. And the text is dense, albeit only a max of 2 pages per subject.
