Part 3: Robotnik is convinced there is a spy amongst his group, and creates the Wheel of Misfortune to try and weed them out. The schemes don’t work, and in a turn of events, the spy is the Tootsie Roll owl.

Part 2: Sonic manages to access the VR terminal to end the simulation and take control of Robotnik’s war machines.

Part 1: Robotnik put the Freedom Fighters in a trance and stuck them in a VR machine, pumping them with a dream that Sonic and Sally are getting married. All to distract them from his plan of destroying Mobius.
