Waller lies and makes deals, all so the Suicide Squad can go on!
Shrike sacrifices herself so the team can successfully complete their mission.
Waller appears to step down from Task Force X but no way is she actually letting go of the reins.
Eve Eden quits when she learns Waller told her father she was Nightshade!
I liked the dialogue-light action.

Issue #24 -
I liked this issue. Waller is losing those she undervalued while also being treated similarly to how she treats others.
Then when the team is on a mission, it actually feels like a mission.
There is a bit of humour involving the new members but mostly, the 2nd half is quite serious.
We also learn Oracle is quite good at covering their tracks but Waller’s determined to use them… her way.

I liked this issue. Waller is losing those she undervalued while also being treated similarly to how she treats others.

Issue #23 -
The Invasion! tie-in I didn’t mean to skip!
To be fair, this is more of a flashback to the event. The set up is Ben is debriefing John on what happened in Russia. Then Tom tells a funny story to the still injured Eve.
The biggest thing to note about this issue… the first mention of Oracle!
Funny gag: Nemesis is hit with a pie instead of blinded by a black light.

Sped through this ish to finish off the Tolliver plot.
Flag learned that Tolliver and Senator Cray were blackmailing Waller and decided to deal with it himself.
Waller sends the Squad to stop him, at all costs.
Deadshot’s interpretation… kill Cray himself!
Somehow, Flloyd lives after being shot multiple times…
