Status Updates From A Gentleman For All Seasons

The first story, by Kate Noble, goes in the dustbin. I can almost hear the heroine screeching as she yells/complains to the hero. I don't like her. That I can "hear" screeching is a nod to the author, though.

Galen's story packed quite a punch for it's short format. The story started off quite light/sweet, but turned dark as the heroine's past was revealed. While I loved how the hero processed through prejudices of his time and the family demonstrated strong bonds of support, it was hard to believe that the heroine had recovered so quickly. Still I'll be checking out more by the author as long as it isn't a spy novel.

I finished Kate Noble's installment in this anthology. While I love friends/enemies to lovers trope, in this one, I just had a hard time seeing the romance. I saw how the hero changed, but the heroine, who was touted to be super organized and put together, became such a ninny as the story went on, running away multiple times and jumping to unreasonable conclusions. She really made this story not enjoyable for me.

Kate Noble's installment has been a bit confusing thus far. Lots of parentheses and name dropping. I think I'm finally figuring out who everyone is, but it was quite a puzzle for my brain first thing in the morning :)

Not sure why I started this one, but the second story was "The Summer of Wine and Scandal" was different and I liked it. Don
't just go by the title. It's much more.

That was rather sweet.

The first story has some pretty funny moments so far.
