So... the halfway point in the story has me freaking upset. THIS...THIS RIGHT FUCKING HERE is why I don't like or trust people. I would rather be alone than spend my life explaining my existence. God damn it! Walk the fuck away, Vin. Do you really want to carry that cross? REALLY?

I've gone from book 1 to this 4th instalment. I am going to read the two in between but I was lagging behind on my review books and didn't want to leave this any longer. I am adoring it so far.

How am I supposed to survive until I find out????!!! Though, oddly, I also feel some sense of peace. Wtf gives about that?? Vin. One of the Kings will hear you.

Something I find interesting is Vin's cutting off his "fun with words" when he gets going internally. Is he feeling something? Something different? Something changing?

"I don't need to know your secrets, but as long as you don't let anyone in, you're trapped with them."

Maybe this isn’t a façade and the real me is just really lost.

Vin has never reflected so much on himself like in this book. I feel that he’s more vulnerable than ever. With every chapter I worry more and more about him.

Vin knows people well, and he knows himself, but he's afraid to... be? or show his true self? Vin, I want to get kinged, to find your king so badly.

Heh, Vin, that's brilliant. You're already putting him on edge, out of sorts, and therefore ready to try.... heh!
