This book was amazing. I really enjoyed the relationship between Em and Cas. Even though I think they were mainly just trauma-bonded, and there isn't a whole lot of actual bond between them. Not an ideal relationship.

I just started reading it earlier this week, and it has been almost impossible to put down. At this moment, Em and Cas are on the way to Fort Victorra to get Olivia. I predict that Cas will join forces with the ruined.

I read too much to fit into 420 characters, but I finished it it ended with the protagonist rescuing her younger sister from her husband's evil parents. She planned an attack on the castle, leading to her husband's dad dieing and then later her husband's mom was killed by the protagonist's sister using her magic to tear her heart out of her chest. That is a very poor summary of the end of the book, but I loved it.
