Status Updates From 宝石の国 2 [Hōseki no Kuni 2]

I’ll start reading the next volume right about now!

A real battle? I can’t wait to see how that would go. Poor Phos is too tired to even move, but Amethyst 33 & 84 are there. I’m glad that both Yelllw Diamond and Rutile took notice of how Sensei acted when the word “human” was mentioned. I believe that even Phos did. I loved the translator’s notes! I love learning new things!

Yellow said that the rain stops the lunarians which is also an interesting tidbit to keep in mind.

The sensei is totally human, isn’t he? His reaction to the mere mention of the word “human” says it all. Rutile and Yellow were in the room too. I have to remember this in case they just disappear then I’ll know who’s to blame. But why would the sensei become surprised at the fact that Phos loves him and wants to help, are the gems not supposed to have feelings? Is that why? Or tis here more to it?

I love Yellow Diamond so much! They’re great too! And the fact that they’re the elder and everyone else respects them very much is really nice. Yellow said that everyone who’d been repaired with them has been taken to the moon (Green Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, and Pink Topaz) I’ll remember this. I don’t want to accuse them but it’s a bit suspicious.

The new legs looks really cool! And I love how Jade, Euclase and Red Beryl are all there with Rutile to help Phos and support them when they started using the new legs, it’s so nice of them. I wonder how they memory loss will affect things. Not to mention the fact that the new legs are harder (hardness of 7) and they make Phos faster, I wonder how that will factor into everything.

I love Phos! I really really do. So Aucleatus was Ventricosus’s brother and the latter was using Phos to get the rest of their family back from the lunarians. I’m so glad they brought Phos back! I really love their friendship! I hope that we’ll see them again someday.

I’m speechless. First, Ventricosus’s little history lesson/theory (humans divided into three parts: spirit (the lunarians), flesh (the admirabilis) and bone (the gems/lustrous) and now the betrayal! And who is Aculeatus?

I like Red Beryl, they’re so cute! And I just noticed that Euclase has nail polish on one hand only to go with the hair and eyebrow, it’s so cute! I really like the attention to details that the artist has put into this.

Ventricosus? This is interesting! Why does Ventricosus’s form under the sea look very similar to the lunarian’s? I have so many questions

I have a feeling he understands Ventricosus too bu I can’t prove it. I love the way the hands in particular are drawn in this manga, they’re so so beautiful!

They’re not allowed to go to the ocean? Interesting. I’ve had Ventricosus for a day and a half but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself. He’s the best! It’s so funny to see how Phos’s translation versus what he actually said. I want to know more about the sensei! He is human, isn’t he? Even Ventricosus had mentioned that he is different.

So with that out of the way, WHYYYYYY is one of the main characters a random snail???????? What is it doing in the plot??????? Why is it constantly horny???????? What even is this nonsense?????????

Oh great. The slug can talk. And what does he say? Heyyyyyyyyy, I think you should date the weird girl by the ocean. Personally, I think the one who's a total jerk is hot, but that's just my opinion. Why haven't you started dating miss beach hermit yet? WHAT IS THIS SERIES? WHY ARE WE FOLLOWING THE HORNY SLUG THAT ATE THE MAIN CHARACTER? This feels like a fever dream.
