Such an important book… talking about trans men… I don’t think I’ve ever read much of anything about them so I’m glad this book geared this way. The author is a trans woman and it’s just so cool how she was radical at the time for supporting trans men…

These stories are so interesting and the whole story to get to these short stories was so fluid… I appreciate that

“…so many small groups are doing such great work quietly, without drawing attention to themselves. It is these endeavors that we must support because they are the ones who are actually working for change.”

I have grown weary and tired… lowkey was hoping to make it to 128 pages but I fear I’ll just have to catch up tomorrow… but so much violence from everyone she meets, including the communities that are supposed to be the “good” ones…

Extremely stressful day and what a beautiful book that I have to read for class to make me feel better… my goal is to read 64 pages a day to be able to read it over a couple days so I’m trying to get to at least that today… but so far I’m cruising !!!

I’m really enjoying this, especially having read Love in the Exile recently, can’t help myself from comparing the two. More thoughts on this later…

She has suffered so much and she has done so much to help prevent other trans people from suffering as she has. The love she has for her trans 'sons and daughters' is making me cry! Also, I'm learning so much about what it's like for gender variant people in different parts of India. Probably going to finish reading tonight.
