Lots of unexpected moments in this book, the extramarital relations were kept brief, reserved, vague and tasteful (if that can even be said about something like fornication).
It sullied the book for me, this being such a beautifully written book, full of detail and life.
Not being an old goody goody, it ruined their relationship and made it overly complicated and sad, as breaking a Commandments always does.
