Status Updates From Sonic the Hedgehog #34 #34

Part 4: More backstory of Knuckles and the echidnas. The echidnas were technologically advanced, and figured out that using enough chaos emeralds would propel Echidnaopolis upwards and out of the way of the comet that would’ve ruined the city.

Part 3: It turns out everything was a ploy set up by Rotor, Sonic and Uncle Chuck. Him and Muttski weren’t aligned and still kept their free will. Chuck was able to reprogram the combots so that they wouldn’t attack Knothole Village. He believes that it would be too unsafe for him and Muttski to stay in the village, so they decide to leave and go back to Robotropolis as spies.

Part 2: Sonic, Uncle Chuck, and Muttski make it to Robotnik’s base in Robotropolis. Before they can destroy the combots, Robotnik realigns Chuck and Muttski, and they no longer have free will. They all travel to Knothole Village to enact Robotnik’s plan to destroy it.

Part 1: Robotnik declares himself as army general after building his squad of combots. Dulcy the Dragon overhears and goes to tell the Freedom Fighters. Sonic, Uncle Chuck, and Muttski set off to Robotropolis, believing they’re the only ones who could stop Robotnik.
