Status Updates From Reading Lacan

Dense and turgid, Gallop is providing a 'metonymic' reading of Lacan, which means that she doesn't use metaphor (interpretation), but rather an associative roundabout way of explaining. But Gallop is clear to warn us that separating and polarising metaphor and metonymy is wrong

Not so much of a reading guide, moreso Gallop's interpretation which doesn't really explain Lacan, but gives a sort of description which triggers a set of Lacanian thoughts to ruminate on.
Perhaps once I read the sections of the 'Ècrits' she's responding to I'll have a stronger opinion ...
