If only my 2016 self had known how apt that would be. Somebody get me a collector's TFA movie theater cup to use it at my time of greatest need, in the most appropriate demo of loathing I could ever envision. I have strong feelings about this okay?!

“I saw the prequels before the original trilogy.”
“What?” It was Elena’s turn to be shocked. “That’s all wrong. That’s a perversion.” “It is not!” Gabe said. “I think it’s how George Lucas intended it. It’s the higher order.” “George Lucas doesn’t even know what he intended,” Elena said. “He can’t even decide who shot first.”

I mean... She's not wrong!!

If you broke Elena’s heart, Star Wars would spill out. This was a holy day for her—it was a cosmic event. This was her planets lining up. (Tatooine, Coruscant, Hoth.)

Oh gosh, I had forgotten this line that went straight through my heart all those years ago, and did so once again just now. Some things you just love and love and love, you know? Always.

And then, as she got older, the movies started to actually sink in. Like, they went from something Elena could recite to something she could feel. She made them her own. And then she’d kept making them her own. However Elena changed or grew, Star Wars seemed to be there for her in a new way.

This little gem and all the SW feels in it! It's going to spiral me straight into my annual marathon, I just know it!
