Jackie is dedicated, he was offered a spot on a major league team and he showed everyone that they would not regret it. Even though Jackie was treated horribly, and had many racial slurs screamed to him, he never gave up and he never fought anyone or lost his cool, because all he focused on was baseball. I think this shows how good of a person Jackie was and how dedicated he was to this sport, just taking the slurs.

Jackies life changed a lot of things in the United States today, since Jackie was deployed to fight in the US military, and then he was taken out because their was a "leave for injuries" people started to notice that it wasn't fair that Jackie was allowed to risk his life for our country but couldn't get certain jobs because of his skin color.I think Jackie is a hard worker and deserves more then what he receives.

Jackie did not give up, even though he was struggling with baseball. His conflict is that he is not very good at baseball, and hes never found a sport that he was not good at. I think Jackie wants to give up but he refuses too because he knows he has the potetial to become a good baseball player.

Jackie and Mack were very athletic, and never gave up on sports, even if he was troubled and brought down. The conflicts Jackie and his brother face are that they are both African Americans and they are brought down for trying to succeed and are not given all the oppurtinties that white people are given.I think that they both are very talented and they just have to work harder for their success.

I have just started this book, and so far i’m intrested in Jackie Robinson and how he influced the American Culture. This book is very easy to read, and to understand, i believe it may be a children’s book which i did not know when i chose to read this.
