This has not been an easy read. I have had to put this down & pick it up a couple times so far. The content of this book is heavy. It makes me question if its truly a Young Adult book. From the start of the book there as been a seriousness, that tips into raw emotions as the MC deals with the murder of his new friend, attempted murder of himself, hate crimes against Gays, & the suicidal ideation.

130 pages in and we meet a new character who I'm guessing is the killer. Another coming out story / mystery workmanlike if sometimes amateurish prose so far. Not bad reading but a bit unpolished and overearnest in spots.
