Status Updates From Beneath the Neon Moon

"I dream all the time now, even when I'm awake." Mal's voice faltered. "Help me, please, help me to stay here," he whispered, and Zach didn't know if he was talking to him or praying.

Mal closed his eyes and breathed in. He rubbed his fingers in the blood at his ankle. He held his hand up to Zach. "Taste it."
-Mal's getting a little creepy now.

He still didn't think he had a prayer of getting through the night alive.
If he couldn't fix what was going to happen then he'd take the time he had left, because it had to matter. This crazy thing between Mal and himself mattered. It was all he had.

Either I'm half awake or this is slightly confusing. Or both.

Interesting concept. Review to follow.
