killing myself every paragraph is so horribly structured

is it really necessary to launch into the descriptions of precise chemical processes every five pages? surely some of this could be summarized.

descriptions are so convoluted i have to reread thrice to understand so i can rephrase for my study notes. someone teach scientists how to use active voice, please. with that said, surprisingly ok for a textbook. which maybe indicates that the state of our science writing is fucking terrible

i feel like if i have to read this entire textbook for school i should at least be able to put it on my goodreads
