Status Updates From Moment of Fate (Moments In ...

I am very tempted to give this book 5 stars at this point, but based on other reviews I sneaked a peek at and the fact there are ways to go in the book, I am very scared it will not live up to my high expectations. Cross my fingers it will not be a letdown.

[2/2] ... about such a serious decision! This means something, this is a serious step. Thinking about love freaks you out, thinking about being in a relationship freaks you out, but lackadaisically deciding to go bareback in the heat of the moment [not even having discussed this beforehand], is just plain fuckin weird. I mean, your friend tested positive and it freaked the hell out of you. Have you forgotten that?!?

/ [1/2] Considering the fact that it was the news that your friend Frankie tested positive that compelled you to take a "vow of celibacy" for a year, I'm stunned that you're going bare so cavalierly! I mean YES it's with Oliver and YES you both got tested, but you're barely capable of admitting you're IN A RELATIONSHIP much less exclusive [though it's evident you are], so imagine my shock when you're SO easygoing ...

// I'm getting antsy! Frankly? I'd forego this sex scene [GASP! I know, I know *rolls eyes and smiles*] in favor of romantic progression between these two, or even just progression with Bryan working through all his issues! We know they have explosive sex ... at this point it feels gratuitous ... almost like filler. Don't get me wrong, I adore the heat here! BUT not at the expense of their story!!

// I feel like there's a shit-ton of sex in this book [absolutely NO complaints here!!], but not real progress when it comes to Bryan's 'skeletons' :-/. I really would've loved to have Oliver's POV! As much as Bryan shares ALL of his innermost thoughts with us [readers], I still feel like he's somewhat of an unreliable narrator :-/! More to the point, I understand that he's hesitant to trust someone with his heart, but it's so obvious he wants to, that he wants to move on and live again!
I absolutely ADORE Oliver and I hope there's a glorious HEA at the end!!
