The rebels attack and they bring a maiden, they try to find her father and end up getting attacked some more. Finally they find her father and he tells her that she need to live a normal life because if she doesn't she will destroy the world and do a lot more horrible things. He also tells her that he's going to die. She ignores him and says he won't because she's really stubborn and sick of his vision.

Leonie learns of the other worlds and what she is. She is brought to the other world to start her training and to learn everything she needs to know. She meets her kytaen, Korren, and he doesn't like her and is trying to go back to the prison he was in so he can be "free". She is starting her training.

How stupid is this girl opening something just because someone she doesn't trust tells her to?????

I'm not that into the writing thus far but hope that it'll get better

This book literally makes no sense - one minute the dad is calling Korren a pet or lesser being and the next he's talking to him like equals. What?

I'm so close to DNFing it...

I'm starting to sort-of like the book because there are less dialogues :/
